Spring Used Book Sale
April 10 & 11, 2010

Our 9th Year in East County

Gresham Town Fair Shopping Center
670 NW Eastman Parkway
Gresham, OR 97030

The sale will be in a stand-alone building (the old Hollywood Video store) which is west across the parking lot from Dick's Sporting Goods. It's on the east side of Eastman Parkway between NW Division St. and W Powell Blvd. This shopping center is just to the west of the Gresham Regional Library.

Friends of Library Members-Only Morning - Saturday, 9am - 11am
You can become a member of the Friends of the Library at the door.
Note: NO scanners, cell phones, or other electronic devices to seek book information will be allowed during this time.

Open to the General Public
11am - 6 pm Saturday
10 am to 4 pm Sunday.
On Sunday, everything will be 50 percent off.
Note: Scanners, cell phones, and electronic devices will be allowed starting at 11 am Saturday and all day Sunday. They may be used only at the merchandise tables and only for one item at a time. Items may not be set aside to be scanned later.

20,000 donated books will be available in many categories.

FAQs

  • Do you need volunteers to help with the sale?
    Of course. We will need volunteers both days of the sale. We have a list of the positions we need to fill in our “Get Involved/Volunteer” section. You can use our online volunteer form, or contact the office, if you would like to volunteer.
  • Is there a preview night or presale for member?
    Yes, 9-11am Saturday, April 10
  • What are the book prices?
    Our base price for adult books is $1.50. Many hardcover books and paperback books are slightly more. Most books will be under $6.00. Our children's books are 50 cents, $1.50, and some are more. CDs and CDRoms are $3.00. Videos and audio tapes start at 50¢. DVDs are $4.00 each.
  • Where do you get the books?
    The Friends of the Multnomah County Library collect good used books, tapes, CDs, sheet music, videos and DVDs all year. They are sold at our Used Book Sales in October and May.

Proceeds from this book sale support the Multnomah County Library.

Throughout the year

Simply drop off good used books and materials at Central Library or any Multnomah County library branch. No more than two boxes per visit. For larger donations call 503-224-9176 for information. No old textbooks, no Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, no magazines or outdated reference books. And please, no torn, ragged or moldy books.

Proceeds are used by the Friends to support all of Multnomah County Library’s branches and services.
