Sheila's favorite books currently are anything to do with how the brain works, particularly discoveries in neuroplasticity and anything related to mindfulness, subjects often found in the same book.
Sheila moved to Portland in 2008 to begin the adventure of retirement near her grandchildren. She is so glad she did. Portland is a wonderful city full of possibilities and surprises, not the least of which is the wonderful library system. Reading and libraries have always been a major part of Sheila's life, and she was a member of, and volunteered with, the Friends of the Library where she lived previously in California.
Sheila had a variety of careers but the primary one was in social and market research. Hopefully that experience will assist her in contributing to FOL.
