Sue Girard is a mixed media artist with a strength in photography. Sue is a resident of Lake Oswego, where she has lived for 22 years.

As a child growing up in the Bay Area, Sue began her journey into art with oil on canvas in a garage studio built by her father. She also visited art museums in San Francisco as a young girl and went on to study art in college. She has always been fascinated by, and drawn to, impressionist painters.

As an artist, Sue is drawn to bright colors, which inspire creativity and imagination. Each time Sue finished a piece of art, she is motivated to explore new techniques, whether in a collage, greeting cards, photograph or painting.

Sue has also been a lifelong traveler, with a passion for seeing and experiencing all parts of the world.  Her passion for travel has inspired Sue’s photography. She traveled for a three week trip to Cebu, Philippines and Seoul, South Korea where the photos for her current gallery showing were taken. The trip took her to Cebu, Lapu Lapu and Bantayan Island in the Philippines. Earlier this year she traveled to southern India. The vibrant colors that are reflected in her photos.
